“what a pity! with your fad this body, i’m sure a lot of girls would love to see you shirtless on television now and then.
“john, is this you udent? he is very handsome.”(john,这是你的学生吗?
“no,bel. he is not my student. he is a natural actor who doesn’t need lessons at all. his ag is already perfect.”(不,bel,他不是我的学生,他是一个天生的演员,根本不需要训练,他的演技已经是完美了。)
“i heard you are a good friend of director edward cooper.”(我听说你和edward cooper导演是好朋友。)
“yes. we were roommates in college.”(是的,我们是大学舍友。)
“dyn got an audition for the leading role in mr cooper’s new movie, but for some reasons he couldn’t make it.”(dyn得到了cooper先生新电影男主角的面试,但是因为某些原因,他没能去成。)
“yes. i sincerely hope that you are willing to help me.”(是的,我真诚地希望你会愿意帮我。)
“would you like to talk about it over a cup of coffee?(你愿意一边喝咖啡一边谈吗?)john说着拿起了刚整理好的资料。
“i have no idea. was he in some kind of trouble?”(我完全不知道,他遇到什么麻烦了吗?)
“actually dyn came to see me a few days ago. is he still in new york?”(其实几天前dyn来找过我,他还在纽约吗?)
“he is on the pne back to a.”(他在回中国的飞机上。)
“mr. jiang, what a surprise!”(姜先生,见到你真是惊喜。)
“thank you.”(谢谢。)
“wow. this is the first time i have ever heard you give such a high pliment to a young man .”(哇哦,这还是我第一次听你这样称赞一个年轻人。)
“mr kingsley is just joking. i’m not even an actor.”(kingsley先生在开玩笑呢,我不是演员。)
“were you that reason, mr. jiang?”(你是那个原因吗,姜先生?)john疑问的语气下却已经给出了近乎肯定的答案。
“i’m afraid i ’t answer no to that.”(我恐怕不能回答’不’。)姜灏微笑着说,“i hope you talk into your friend to give dyn another ce.”(我希望你能说服你朋友再给dyn一次机会。)
“so, what i do for you ?”(所以,我能为你做些什么?)john开门见山地问道。
“what did you talk about?”(你们聊了些什么?)
“just some ag stuff. he told me now he has more opportunities , he wants to challenge some different characters. so i gave him my advice. but he looked distracted that day. i could certainly tell he was worried about something.”(就是一些表演的事,他告诉我他现在有更多的机会了,他想挑战一些不一样的角色,所以我给了他一些建议。
“professor kingsley , how have you been?”(kingsley教授,您最近还好吗?”
“great. john微笑着握住了他的手,“what brought you here?”(是什么把你带到这来了?)
“i have a favor to ask.”(我需要一个帮忙。)
